But that’s quite enough preamble—what’s up with these gummies?
Concentration
We sampled the 30-count tub of PlusCBD Reserve Extra THC gummies, which come in Dragon Fruit flavor.
According to the label, each gummy contains a 5:1 ratio of CBD to THC, at 25 milligrams and 5 milligrams of each, respectively.
We cross-checked the third-party lab report, or certificate of analysis corresponding to our batch, to confirm. The results stated there were 26.74 milligrams of CBD and 5 milligrams of delta-9 THC per gummy.
The CBD is over-delivered, but not problematically so, and the THC is right on the money, so we’re pleased with the results.
However, the one exception is the lack of secondary cannabinoids. Of course, on raw potency, the THC is going to make up for it and then some, but if you are specifically looking for CBG, CBN, etc. to emphasize a particular benefit, you may have to look elsewhere.
On a more general note, 25 milligrams of CBD and 5 milligrams of THC per gummy is a solid concentration that places these gummies somewhere in the upper third as far as hemp concentration per gummy goes.

Considering we aren’t factoring the high THC content into this price comparison, we consider this to be in the lower half of the price spectrum for premium hemp gummies.
Most premium gummies with far less or zero THC content cost between $0.08-0.11 per milligram, so $0.09 per milligram with this level of THC is a decent deal.
Granted, within the PlusCBD collection and outside of it, you can certainly find gummies that are closer to the $0.05 per milligram line, but it all centers on the THC content.
If you aren’t looking for THC, there are better deals. If you are, this might just be a game changer for you on both value and quality fronts.
Packaging
Save for obvious differences on the label, the packaging is the same as PlusCBD’s Daily Balance (THC-free) gummies.
Each darkly tinted container comes with a black, threaded lid with a “push down and turn” safety feature, as well as a QR code on the packaging to access the lab report.
The label also shares an informational blurb on PlusCBD, warnings, and the basic specs (cannabinoid concentration, ingredients, nutrition facts, etc.).
Functionally, we had no issues with the container or the lid; there was no wearing down of the lid or denting of the container throughout our use of the product.

Each gummy contains two grams of added sugar, which is our cutoff for a reasonable concentration (many gummies have 3-4 grams each).
As you can see, there’s no high-fructose corn syrup, cheap or artificial sweeteners, preservatives, or coloring.
Simply put, these are clean, not too sugary, free of GMOs, and loaded with cannabinoids—excellent ingredient quality for a gummy.
Flavor
Admittedly, we aren’t dragon fruit connoisseurs, so we won’t comment too much on the authenticity of the flavor. In a general sense, however, these gummies are sweet, but not too sweet, and tasty.
Given the smaller gummy and the higher hemp concentration, we didn’t expect that earthy bitterness to be covered up very well, but were pleasantly surprised in the end.
It still isn’t fully concealed, but if you’re more of a sweet tooth who avoids bitter and earthy tastes, these gummies are more effective than most at covering it up.
The flavor is a bit unique—like real dragon fruit—so pickier eaters may have to go elsewhere. Otherwise, both the taste and texture of these gummies were on par with other high-quality hemp gummies we’ve reviewed.
Effectiveness
We went from “I think I feel relaxed” to “Dude, where’s my car?” pretty darn quick with these gummies, which is usually what happens when non-marijuana users ingest more than 2-3 milligrams of THC at once.
Granted, we weren’t completely lost in the woods—there was no paranoia or confusion—but short-term memory definitely took a hit for a little while.
Fortunately, discomfort and stress were also dulled down considerably, as a wave of relaxation hit at the roughly 90-minute mark, persisting for at least two hours.
Having tried a lot of full-spectrum CBD gummies in our day, we’re not understating when we say these are first place when it comes to raw potency. All of the effects you expect from THC were front and center: intense relaxation, mild euphoria, and discomfort relief.
If you’ve never used THC before, one gummy may put you to sleep (depending on your size and other factors), so we recommend definitely starting with just one or even half.
